Kampala to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary & Murchison Falls

Leave the urban rhythm behind early this morning as you head north through changing landscapes of vibrant trading towns and green woodlands. Your first destination is the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you will set out on foot with an armed ranger to track majestic southern white rhinos. After an intimate encounter with these prehistoric giants and a relaxed lunch, continue north to cross the iconic River Nile and enter Murchison Falls National Park.

Day 3

Savannah Game Drive & Nile River Launch Cruise

Wake up to the cool morning breeze of the northern savannah delta. This is prime time for active predators; your expert guide will help you spot lions, leopards, towering Rothschild’s giraffes, massive herds of Cape buffalo, and elegant hartebeests. In the afternoon, board a classic riverboat cruise heading upstream toward the base of Murchison Falls. You will sail past pods of yawning hippos and giant Nile crocodiles before reaching the dramatic “Devil’s Cauldron,” where the entire Nile crashes through a tiny 7-meter gap.

Day 4

Top of the Falls Walk & Transfer to Fort Portal

After a slow breakfast, drive to the breathtaking Top of Murchison Falls to feel the heavy mist on your face and view the thunderous canyon from above. From here, begin a highly scenic drive southward along the Albertine Rift valley. You will pass through quiet countryside villages, vast sugarcane fields, and rolling green tea plantations, arriving by late afternoon in the beautiful town of Fort Portal, nestled in the shadow of the Rwenzori Mountains.
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Day 5

Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest & Bigodi Wetland Walk

Step into the lush, emerald canopy of Kibale National Park, home to the highest density of primates in Africa. Following an educational park briefing, you will trek deep into the rainforest to find a community of wild chimpanzees. You will hear their thunderous hooting escalations long before you see them swinging gracefully through the trees. Spend one unforgettable hour watching them play, feed, and socialize. In the afternoon, explore the community-run Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary on a wooden boardwalk trail to look for rare birds and monkeys.

Day 6

Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park & Explosion Crater Drive

Enjoy a relaxed morning before taking a short, scenic drive south across the equator to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The landscape transforms into sweeping savannahs framed by volcanic fields. Set out onto the golden Kasenyi plains at sunrise, tracking pride of lions, solitary leopards, and herds of Uganda kob. Midday is spent relaxing at your lodge. Day 8

Tree-Climbing Lions of Ishasha to Bwindi's Edge

Bid farewell to the central plains as you journey south into the remote Ishasha sector of the park. Keep your eyes locked on the sprawling branches of ancient sycamore fig trees, where the region’s famous tree-climbing lions love to sleep away the hot hours of the afternoon. After an exciting search and a picnic lunch, leave the savannah behind and ascend into the steep, terraced hillsides of the ancient Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Day 9

The Magic of Mountain Gorilla Trekking

This is the moment that completely redefines what it means to travel. After an early breakfast, gather at the forest station to learn about gorilla tracking etiquette and join your specialist tracking team. You will step directly into the prehistoric jungle, navigating thick vines and mist-covered ridges. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, but all physical effort instantly melts away when your guide parts the brush to reveal a wild gorilla family resting and playing just meters away. Look into the deep, soulful brown eyes of a giant silverback patriarch during your precious, magical hour together.
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Day 10
